Covers & Liners

Tarpaulin

Waterproof, UV-treated covers, built for the elements, 100–400 GSM.

Tarpaulin Covers & Liners

Strong, flexible, water-resistant sheeting, woven from high-density polyethylene and coated with LDPE on one or both sides for a waterproof finish.

Tarpaulin sheet

Tarpaulin (“polytarp”) is a large, strong, flexible, water-resistant sheet made from plastics such as polyethylene or polypropylene. Modern tarpaulins are woven from HDPE and coated with LDPE on one or both sides to make them water-resistant or fully waterproof.

Reinforced grommets and eyelets at the corners, with D- or O-rings along the sides, form attachment points for rope, so they can be tied down or suspended.

Built for outdoor use

A popular, inexpensive, water-resistant fabric used as ground sheets, awnings, roof and pool covers, machinery and timber covers, truck and rail-wagon covers, warehouse partitions and more.

  • Water- and UV-resistant, good weatherability
  • High tensile strength, no adverse environmental effects
  • Designed for extreme outdoor use
  • Good flexibility and easy handling
  • Economical and easy to transport
  • Resistant to mildew and chemicals
  • Resists agro-chemicals: phosphorus, ammonia, sulphur
  • Excellent choice for the truck-tarp industry

Type & size

Depending on the weaving and coating, tarpaulins are made in different weight categories, generally from 100 GSM to 400 GSM. For industries covering food materials such as grain, the tarpaulin is treated against ultraviolet light and can last for years exposed to the elements.

Ready-made tarps are typically available from 2 m to 30 m, and rolls can generally be customised, all to the client’s specification.
